A Short Sail, its code, art, models, music we made, text and data are © Yos Riady. All rights reserved. These terms say what you may do with the game and this website. Questions or permission requests: hello@ashortsail.com.

Yes: please do

• Play it. The game is for your own, non-commercial play.
• Make videos, streams, reviews, guides and screenshots of the game, on any platform, and earn money from them in the usual way (ads, subscriptions, sponsors). No permission is needed. A link to ashortsail.com is welcome.
• Make fan art, writing and other work about the game, as long as it does not pass as the game or as an official work.
• Quote and link to our pages, and use our press kit images to write about the game.

No: please don't

• Copy, upload, mirror or host the game, or any part of it, on another site or store, or in another app.
• Sell, rent or give away copies of the game, or make a game or product that copies its code, world, characters, story or look.
• Take apart, decompile, deobfuscate, or extract the code, models, art, music, sounds or text from the game, or remove its notices and marks, except where the law says you may.
• Reproduce the game or any part of it (its code, art, models, text, music we made, world or characters) for commercial use, in any form, without our written permission.
• Scrape the game or this website in bulk, or use their content to train a machine-learning model. This ban is on purpose and has no exception for research or for "public" material.
• Use the name "A Short Sail", its logo or its characters in a way that suggests we made or approved your work.

Third-party material

The music, sounds, icons, fonts and libraries we did not make belong to their authors and come under their own licences. They are listed on the credits page. These terms do not change those licences, and they give you no rights to that material beyond what its licence gives.

The game is provided as it is

The game and the demo are free or paid as stated where you get them, and are provided "as is", without a promise that they will always work or be free of faults. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using them. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Copies and takedowns

If you find a copy of the game or its material somewhere it should not be, please tell us at hello@ashortsail.com. We may ask the host to remove copies that break these terms.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top says when. The privacy side of the game and this site is in the privacy policy.
